July 31, 2008 Riviere-De-Loup, Quebec. Spent two nights with Mario in Quebec City and explored the Old City on our rest day. First evening, dodged evening rain showers then watched a spectacular movie of the history of Quebec cast on large grain silos across the marina. Wandered the streets admiring the old architecture, viewed the City from the 31 story Observatoire, tried out tasty french patisserie at Couchon Dingue (crazy pig), and zoomed around on buses (that seem to go way too fast when you`re used to cycling speeds). Mario, Ray and I cycled on a bike route along the water to meet Barb and Marty at the ferry, that took us from Quebec City to Levis and then cycled along the South shore of the St. Lawrence River, 122 km to St. Roch-Des-Aulnaies, then 90 km to Riviere-De-Loup. Total so far 5,664 km. Wow!!! 12 more days of cycling!!!! Tomorrow we`re cycling on an old railroad bed towards Edmondston, New Brunswick with Barb and Marty. We believe that Mario jumped ship, cycling further than us yesterday with strong tailwinds behind him and may be heading towards Rumouski. So we`ll say bye for now from Ray and Lydia, Marty and Barb.
