July 8, 2008 Neys, Ontario (on the way to Marathon). HE'S BACK!!....we left Mario at Maidstone, Saskatchewan when we went camping and he kept cycling till about 2:00 in the morning, picked up his plane in Unity, Saskatchewan, flew his bike and plane home and took a Greyhound Bus back to Thunder Bay to cycle with us the rest of the way to Halifax. We were shocked and delighted to see him again! Now we're travelling with 6 of us. We met Ryan in Gravel River. He's cycling from Thunder Bay to his home in Sudbury (1000km). Now to say something about these blasted black flies!!! Argggggh! We all have full bug suits now and had to use them last night so not one square inch was exposed. One swat on my leg killed about a 100 of them! I had all of my bug protection on to stop at a rest stop for lunch. We look like some kind of space creatures in them. The rolling hills are now r-o-o-o-o-l-l-i-n-g hills/mountains of rock that really challenge our legs and there are SPECTACULAR views of the lake and shoreline. We're staying in a cabin tonight for $40 split between the 6 of us. So, I guess I'll send greetings from the six of us...Ray and Lydia, Marty and Barb, Mario and Ryan!
