June 14, 2008. Lloydminister...waiting out the rain and appreciating our rain-proof gear...at a nice campground right in the city. Likely going to watch "Indiana Jones" movie at 1:00pm. Doing more than 100km days now - Edmonton to Innisfree (143km) & then on to Lloyd (114km). 1522km so far. Both days with winds at our backs. Mario's still with us (probably till tomorrow), cycling to Unity, Saskatchewan to pick up his airplane, and cycling with a box of airplane parts. Ever more impressed with the great people we're meeting on this journey...that's been special to all of us. Ray saved a couple of adult geese and their little gosslings on the highway yesterday. He held up his hand to stop traffic as they crossed our half, and then a big semi honked his horn on the other half to stop the cars as the little ones scurried across the other side - what a cool moment! Saw the big Pysanka (egg) in Vegreville, anyone know where the big perogie is? Didn't bring our camera so will add pictures later! Ray, Lydia, Barb, Marty, and Mario
